Recruitment Process
CAS will contact you upon your application and arrange for an interview. If successful you will be requested to provide referees and complete various probity checks.
CAS and most organisations within the sector request the below minimum entrance requirements:
Blue Card, Workers Screening Check and Police Checks
A Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and a Disability Worker Screening (Working in Disability) and Police Checks (Working in Aged Care) are standard requirements for most organisations depending on the role. CAS will be able to provide applicants with the relevant information to apply for these checks.
NDIS Worker Orientation Module
A Worker Orientation Module called ‘Quality, Safety and You’ has been developed by the NDIS to assistworkers to better support people with disability.
This module is an interactive online course that explains the obligations of workers under the NDIS Code of Conduct. You will be provided with a Certificate of Completion that you will be required to provide when you apply for a position. You can access the online learning module on the NDIS commission site.
First Aid & CPR Certificates
If you work in a direct support role, it is usual that you will need a current First Aid & CPR Certificate which you will be required to provide evidence to CAS.
Qualifications
As an agency we request that applicants meet the minimum qualification standard of a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Home & Community, Ageing) or equivalent.
